About

Art has always been a part of my life - sketching as a child, designing clothing on Spadina, painting in acrylic, watercolour, and oils. I have always seen the world from an artistic viewpoint.

I want to constantly challenge myself as an artist. Learning, listening and seeing the world through an artistic eye and then attempting to transfer that vision to canvas or paper. To paint what moves you as an artist is one of the basic definitions of art.

I have exhibited the past 7 years, the most recent being "Experiences in Colour" (2014) organized by the South Simcoe Palette Club at the Alliston Gibson Centre, "The Colours of Expression"(2015) at Art Unique Gallery in Cookstown, and the Alliston "Holiday Market" (2015) and the "O Canada" Exhibit (July, 2017) organized by the South Simcoe Arts Council. The South Simcoe Palette Club had a 60th Anniversary Exhibit "Then and Now" with the Innisfil Art Tour in 2019 in which I had several pieces shown and sold. I have also had some of my art published in two annual magazines and in July 2015 one of my canvases won an award in the "ARTS ON MAIN" competition.

I have lived in the Alliston area for over the last 20 years and am a member of the South Simcoe Arts Council and president of the South Simcoe Palette Club.

And none of my art would be where it is today if it wasn't for my husband, Charles who always supports myself and my work. He is my rock!
